Using the latest technology, with all of the amazing advances in efficiency in production and distribution, keeping one 100 watt light bulb lit for one hour takes one pound of coal.

I can't believe how far from the results of our lifestyle we've all gotten. I can't believe I didn't know that.

Sigh.
