Four Things
January 30, 2006
Even though Jason asked me to write four things, suddenly I've got one thing stuck in my head. And I'm amazed this meme jumped from LiveJournal to the public-facing blogosphere -- do you realize how rare that is? Anyway, enough meta, on with the trivia.
Four jobs I've had:
- Network/IT consultant
- Web developer
- Billing manager at a water company
- Random VP at a blogging company
Four movies I can watch over and over:
- Boomerang
- Kid 'n Play's "Class Act" (it's like the lost 4th House Party movie!)
- Sign O The Times
- Hero
Four places I've lived:
- College Park, MD
- Camp Hill, PA
- Carmel, NY
- NYC
Four TV shows I love:
- Extras
- The Office (UK)
- The Office (US)
- I'm not really much of a TV guy
Ten highly regarded and recommended TV shows that I've never watched a single minute of (list liberally copped from Kottke)
- 24
- Arrested Development
- Battlestar Galactica
- My Name Is Earl
- Deadwood
- Desperate Housewives
- The Honeymooners
- St. Elsewhere
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- The O.C.
Four places I've vacationed
- Tennesee
- Tahoe
- Taiwan
- Barcelona
Four of my favorite dishes:
- Soup dumplings
- Green tea mochi
- Grimaldi's Pizza
- Shake Shack burgers
Four sites I visit daily:
- my.livejournal.com
- intranet.sixapart.com (the best blogs you're not reading)
- fipilele
- gmail.com
Four places I would rather be right now:
- NYC
- At the park with my dog
- In Bed
- Barcelona
Update: Whoops! I'm supposed to tag some other people to post this list, too. Let's see...
Previously: I AM SHARING THIS WITH YOU

On your list of recommended but never-watched TV shows, I’d heartily re-recommend Arrested Development. Unfortunately, the current season will be the last one. But there are plenty of places to get the back episodes.

I’m happy to say, I’ve never seen any of those tv shows for one minute either :)

I agree. US and UK office are both awesome!
And Arrested Development really is a must see for ANYONE.

Did you mean to tag Mena’s Corner?

I’ve been an LJ user for a year (or two, I forget), but didn’t really think to care about my.livejournal.com until you pointed it out, Anil. It’s really neat, letting you move blocks—my word for what LJ calls “modules”—around with arrows.
My LJ friends page was one of the few “HTML” sites I regularly visit (as opposed to subscribing to feeds), along with Jason Kottke’s, Darren Barefoot’s and Andy Baio’s sites, as I mention in my participation in the meme (which now that you’ve tagged people, really does die with me), but now I’ll think I’ll use the portal.

How come you had “Free Horiemon!” as your subtitle on January 18, 2006? Horie (aka horiemon) wasn’t arrested until January 23, 2006. Just curious.

Anil, did Red or I ever told you about our friend’s dad’s “Class Act” souvenier?
Adrian Gonzales
I noticed that too. How rare that you see a meme on LJ one day and on Kottke, or yours, the next.
